Warm Transitional 3-Bedroom Home in Pomona
A single-level three-bedroom home with warm beige walls, a fireplace living room and soft blush, grey and walnut furnishings.
The brief
This is a single-level home in Pomona with three bedrooms, a living room with a linear fireplace, a dining area and an open kitchen. Warm beige walls and light oak-look floors run through the house. Each bedroom has one bed of queen size or larger, so the home sleeps six. The Cozy Palette furnished the whole home for short stays.
The concept
The house had warm beige walls, light wood floors and grey kitchen cabinets, so we kept the palette soft and warm to match. Blush, dove grey and walnut carry from room to room, with round mirrors, a tree canvas and gentle landscape art adding softness. Furniture was chosen for function, easy cleaning and durability: velvet that wipes clean, metal and wood tables, and upholstered beds that hold up to turnovers. The bathrooms stay crisp, with white vanities and black fixtures.
Room by room
Living room
A long blush velvet sectional with a chaise and grey velvet pillows faces a white tiled fireplace wall with a linear fire and a wall TV. A round two-tier wood and metal coffee table sits on a grey medallion rug. A trio of round mirrors hangs on the side wall, with a plum accent chair by the window.
Dining area
A walnut table with six mid-century chairs in cream seats is set with white bowls and a potted fiddle-leaf. A copper and black cage chandelier hangs above, with a blush tree canvas on the wall and the kitchen beyond.
Kitchen
Grey shaker cabinets run up to the ceiling with white quartz counters and a white tile backsplash. A stainless French-door fridge, gas range and microwave line the walls, with a black faucet under the double window.
Primary bedroom
A large bed with a cream upholstered headboard is dressed in white and grey, with navy damask pillows, on a grey rug. A sliding door opens to the patio, a mountain landscape canvas hangs above the bed, and a wood console and faux plants sit opposite.
Bedroom 2
A grey upholstered bed with striped and grey pillows and a grey throw sits under a gold and navy abstract. A white side table with a black lamp and a bird-of-paradise plant frame the double window.
Bedroom 3
A grey headboard with pink velvet damask pillows sits over white bedding and a grey bed runner, with an abstract canvas on the wall and a closet by the door.
Primary bath
A glass sliding shower with a black rain head and a tile niche sits beside a white floating vanity with a black faucet and a floral print.
Bathroom
A frameless glass shower with black hardware and a hex floor sits beside a white floating vanity and a backlit mirror, with amber bottles in the niche.
