Coastal Modern 3-Bedroom Home in Pomona
A three-bedroom home in Pomona, refreshed for families and groups of up to six. Navy, soft blue and warm wood run through every room.
The brief
The Cozy Palette was asked to furnish this single-level three-bedroom, one-bath home in Pomona for families or groups, sleeping up to six.
The owner wanted a warm, casual, modern feel across the living room, dining room, kitchen, three bedrooms and bathroom.
Before & after
The concept
Some good pieces were already here, like the carved wood bed and the dark farmhouse dining set, so we built around them. Bright white walls and light plank floors open things up, and navy, soft blue and touches of mustard tie the rooms together.
We kept the styling relaxed: soft linen curtains, woven placemats, and simple art. The goal was a home where a family can spread out and feel at ease.
Room by room
Entry and living room
The wood front door with leaded-glass panels opens onto a terracotta tile pad and into the living room, where a navy tufted velvet sectional sits on a grey-and-cream rug around a round white coffee table on a gold base. White linen curtains, a framed landscape painting, an arched floor mirror and a snake plant finish the room.
Dining room
The dark farmhouse table has woven round placemats and a leather bench softened with a white sheepskin. A dark wood sideboard holds a coffee station, below a white carved medallion panel and a set of chalkboard kitchen prints.
Kitchen
Honey-oak cabinets with glass-front uppers show stacks of white dishes. A vintage-style runner, a kettle, toaster, knife block and a small flower arrangement make the kitchen ready for cooking.
Bedroom
The carved wood king bed is dressed in white bedding with navy and patterned pillows, a grey knit throw and fresh towels. A walnut mid-century nightstand, a rattan-front desk, beige curtains and a pale patterned rug complete it.
Second bedroom
A charcoal tufted headboard holds coral diamond pillows and striped cushions. White round side tables with aqua ceramic lamps and abstract mustard and blush prints keep it light.
Front porch
A mint-green lattice bench with a grey pillow and a small black side table sit on the stacked-stone porch. A navy doormat welcomes guests at the wood front door.
