Warm Modern 4-Bedroom Home in Los Angeles
Cream boucle, round oak and brass light in a Los Angeles home with arched doorways, a soaking tub and a paver courtyard for outdoor dinners.
The brief
This is a Los Angeles house with period details: arched doorways, a painted fireplace, paned windows and wide oak floors. The photos show four bedrooms, a kitchen with an island, a separate dining room and a courtyard with outdoor dining for eight.
The concept
The Cozy Palette let the architecture lead. The arches and moldings stay crisp in a soft cream, and the furniture follows their curves: rounded boucle chairs, a round oak coffee table and a long slipcovered sofa. Brass and glass lighting adds warmth in every room, and a few navy pieces in the bedrooms keep the palette from going flat. Furniture was picked for function, easy cleaning and durability, with slipcovers, sturdy wood and performance-friendly fabrics where guests sit most.

A long cream slipcovered sofa with grey and rust striped pillows faces two cream boucle barrel chairs across a round oak coffee table on a cream rug. A white painted fireplace with a brick surround holds a large floral canvas, under a wrought-iron chandelier with glass shades, with sheer linen curtains on the tall paned windows.
Dining
A dark wood table with tapered legs and grey upholstered chairs sits under a gold sputnik chandelier. A light oak sideboard holds ceramic vases below a black-and-white abstract, with French doors open to the kitchen.

Grey shaker cabinets with brass pulls and glass-front uppers, taupe quartzite counters, a stone subway backsplash, a farmhouse sink and a pro-style range. Two gold lantern pendants hang over a large island.
