Warm Modern 2-Bedroom Home in Rowland Heights
A two-bedroom Rowland Heights home with a cozy living room, bench dining, a galley kitchen and two baths, furnished with leather, warm wood, grey and caramel tones.
The brief
This is a two-bedroom home in Rowland Heights with a living room, a dining area, a galley kitchen, an arched entry hall and two bathrooms. One bedroom holds a large bed and the other holds two twin beds, so the beds we can see sleep at least four. The Cozy Palette furnished the whole home for short stays.
The concept
The rooms are compact, with white walls and warm wood floors, so we picked pieces that fit and still feel welcoming. A dark leather sofa, a bench dining table and a black hall tree give each space a clear job, and grey, navy and caramel tie the rooms together. A woven wall hanging in the entry and abstract prints in every room add warmth. The leather sofa, metal-frame beds and bench seating were chosen for function, easy cleaning and durability.
Room by room
Dining area
A dark wood table with matching benches is set with grey stoneware and pastel mugs on linen runners. A white carved medallion panel hangs on the wall, and a snake plant sits on the console beside the TV.
Kitchen
The galley kitchen has oak cabinets, a granite counter with a double sink and a black fridge. Three framed botanical prints hang above the counter, and red oven mitts add a spot of color by the glass-panel door.
Entry
An arched hallway holds a large fringed rug hanging on the wall and a black metal hall tree with hooks and a bench, set with a navy pillow and a woven basket.
Primary bedroom
A white panel bed is layered with a grey velvet blanket and navy and fawn-print pillows. Walnut-and-white nightstands hold brass geometric lamps, and a large abstract landscape hangs above, with grey drapes at the window.
Twin bedroom
Two twin beds with black metal and wood headboards are dressed in white with mustard and grey chevron pillows. A black nightstand with a white lamp sits between them, with a pair of black, caramel and cream abstract prints above.
Bathroom
A glass-door shower in white tile with a mosaic band sits beside an oak vanity. Black interlocking cube shelves on the wall hold candles and small plants.
Ensuite vanity
A long cream vanity with oak drawers runs under a wall mirror and a clerestory window, with white towels and potted grasses.
