Warm Minimal 2-Bedroom Home in Ontario
A small 2-bedroom home in Ontario, furnished in grey, walnut and cream with blush curtains, woven textures and a calm navy bedroom.
The brief
This is a small single-story home in Ontario with an open living, dining and kitchen room, two bedrooms and a bathroom with a glass walk-in shower. The Cozy Palette furnished it for short stays.
The concept
The home is compact and bright, so we kept the palette quiet: grey, walnut, cream and a little blush. A grey sectional faces a slatted walnut media console, and a round walnut table with white metal chairs sits by the kitchen. Woven placemats, a woven globe lamp and stitched wall hangings add texture without clutter. The bedrooms stay simple, one in white and blue and one with a navy velvet bed. Furniture was chosen for function, easy cleaning and durability, so it holds up to a steady run of guests.
Room by room
Living room
A grey sectional with a chaise holds striped and brown velvet pillows. A round walnut coffee table on a black base sits on a navy rug, across from a slatted walnut media console under the TV. A potted ficus, a woven globe arc lamp and blush curtains finish the room.
Kitchen
Grey shaker cabinets sit under marble-look counters and backsplash, with a stainless chimney hood and range and an under-mount sink with a pull-down faucet. A door opens through to the navy bedroom.
Dining area
A round walnut table with four white metal chairs is set with woven placemats, white bowls and wine glasses. A woven wall hanging and two grey stitched hangings sit on the walls, with a grey bench and a sheepskin on a patterned runner.
Blue pillow bedroom
A white wood bed with white bedding holds navy and tufted tan pillows and a cream knit throw. A walnut nightstand holds a blue ceramic lamp and an alarm clock, under a grey circle print.
Navy velvet bedroom
A navy velvet bed is made up with charcoal and tan pillows, a cream throw and folded towels. A dark wood nightstand holds a white lamp, under a desert sun print, and a door opens to a bath with marble-look tile.
Bathroom
A glass walk-in shower with white marble-look slabs has a niche and three wall dispensers. A white vanity sits beside it under a silver framed mirror and a brushed vanity light.
