Modern Glam 2-Bedroom Home in Ontario
An Ontario home with two bedrooms, a fireplace living room and a white shaker kitchen, furnished in soft grey with teal velvet, marble-look and gold accents.
The brief
This is a single-story home in Ontario with two bedrooms, a living room built around a stacked-stone fireplace, a round dining area under an arched opening and a white shaker kitchen. The Cozy Palette furnished the whole home for short stays.
The concept
Grey walls, crown molding and arched doorways gave this home a classic shell, so we added a little glamour on top. Teal velvet ottomans, gold table bases and marble-look tops carry the look from the living room to the dining table, where teal napkins and gold candlesticks pick up the same colors. The sleeper sectional and wipeable surfaces were chosen for function, easy cleaning and durability.
Room by room
Living room
A grey linen sectional with teal and butterfly-print pillows faces a white stacked-stone fireplace with potted greens along the mantel and a TV above. A round marble-look coffee table on brass X legs and two emerald velvet ottomans sit between them, with sheer white drapes at the windows.
Dining area
A round white high-gloss table is ringed by four ivory chairs on a zebra-print rug. Teal satin napkins in gold rings sit on black woven chargers, with gold candlesticks in the center and a topiary in the corner.
Kitchen and dining
From the kitchen, white shaker cabinets and a stainless fridge frame a view of the round dining set. A blush flower arrangement sits on the quartz counter, and a black-and-white canvas hangs on the grey wall.
Kitchen
White shaker cabinets with black bar pulls run around quartz counters and a glass mosaic backsplash. A black pull-down faucet sits under a curtained window beside the back door.
Bedroom with wood bed
A light wood platform bed is made up in white with mauve pillows. White curtains hang on windows on two walls, and two small botanical prints sit between them.
Bedroom with Paris prints
A grey upholstered bed with an ivory duvet and taupe pillows sits between grey nightstands with tall lamps. A six-piece set of Paris canvases hangs above, with a walnut dresser and wall TV across the room.
Bathroom
A white shaker vanity with a quartz top sits under an oval white mirror. The shower is lined in large marble-look tile with black fixtures and a built-in niche.
