A compact townhome in Alhambra with light oak floors and cabinets, an olive sofa, soft coastal art and two calm bedrooms.
The brief
This is a compact two-level townhome in Alhambra with an open living room and kitchen on the main floor and two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have one bed. The Cozy Palette furnished the home for short stays.
The concept
The home already had light oak floors and oak kitchen cabinets, so the plan was to keep everything natural and quiet. An olive green sofa, cream armchair and fluted oak tables sit easily with the wood, and soft coastal canvases carry the same calm tones from room to room. The sofa fabric is a hard-wearing weave, the tables are solid and easy to wipe, and nothing in the room is fussy to reset. We chose the furniture for function, easy cleaning and durability.
In the bedrooms we used textured lumbar pillows, charcoal throws and potted greenery so the rooms feel finished without clutter.

Living room

Kitchen

Open plan
From the sofa, the view runs past the cream armchair to the kitchen along the windows, the oak front door and a round oak mirror, with a glimpse of the warm wood-tiled shower beyond.
Sofa corner
The olive sofa sits in front of a live-edge wood counter with woven placemats and a lamp. A potted olive tree stands in the corner.
Oak bedroom
A sand channel-stitched headboard is dressed with grey knotted lumbar pillows and a charcoal velvet throw. An oak and rattan nightstand holds a ceramic lamp, with three line-drawn mountain prints and an orange sun above. Linen drapes hang over sheers, with a tall ficus by the window.
Grey bedroom
