Modern Transitional 3-Bedroom Home in Alhambra

A two-story home in Alhambra, furnished from an empty shell for large families and groups. Navy, burnt orange, mustard and slate blue give the rooms their character.
The brief
This two-story home in Alhambra was planned for large families, groups and extended stays. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with beds spread across the upstairs and downstairs floors so a big group can sleep comfortably.
The owner wanted a turnkey short-term rental setup for the whole house: kitchen and dining, living areas, all three bedrooms and both bathrooms. Each room needed to feel distinct, so a big group can spread out and still feel at home.
Before & after

The concept
The base is quiet: light gray and white walls, crisp white trim and light wood-look floors that run through both levels. On top of that, The Cozy Palette layered a few confident colors. Navy shows up in the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and in the bedroom pillows. A burnt-orange sofa and mustard chairs bring warmth to the shared spaces. Slate-blue accent walls settle the bedrooms down.
With a big group under one roof, guests need a way to tell rooms apart. Repeating a few colors in different ways, while keeping the floors and walls the same, lets the house feel varied without feeling busy.
