Modern Classic 3-Bedroom Home in Rosemead
A home in Rosemead with an open living, dining and kitchen space and three bedrooms, furnished in charcoal velvet, emerald green and soft blue.
The brief
This is a home in Rosemead. The living room, dining area and kitchen share one bright open space, and there are three bedrooms, each with one bed, and a bath with a glass shower. The Cozy Palette furnished the whole home for short stays.
The concept
The home has light grey walls, grey wood-look floors and a crisp white subway tile kitchen, so we used deeper colours to give it some character. Charcoal accent walls and a charcoal velvet sectional anchor the space, emerald velvet dining chairs bring in colour, and each bedroom gets its own accent, blue in one and coral in another. The furniture was chosen for function and easy care: a large sectional for a group, a sturdy dining table for six and white bedding with velvet throws that wash easily between stays.
Room by room
Living room
A charcoal velvet sectional with chevron and geometric pillows faces a slatted dark media console under the TV. A round white and gold coffee table sits on a soft abstract rug, a Starry Night print hangs above the sofa, and a monstera fills the corner.
Dining area
A dark rectangular table is set with white plates and wine glasses and circled by six emerald velvet chairs. A framed landscape print hangs on the wall, and the table sits open to the kitchen.
Kitchen
Grey shaker cabinets with black pulls sit under white quartz counters and white subway tile to the ceiling. A stainless chimney hood, gas range and fridge line the wall, and black floating shelves hold plants and small art.
Blue pillow bedroom
A grey tufted headboard holds blue woven pillows on white bedding, between grey mid-century nightstands with ceramic lamps. A teal and gold abstract hangs above, with linen curtains at the side.
Charcoal wall bedroom
A grey upholstered bed sits against a charcoal accent wall, dressed in white with a blue velvet throw and folded towels. A brass tray table holds an alarm clock and a plant, under a warm landscape print.
Coral pillow bedroom
A pale channel-tufted headboard sits against a charcoal wall with coral velvet and patterned pillows. White nightstands carry brass lamps, with a pair of blue abstract prints above.
Bath
A grey vanity with a marble-look top sits beside a frameless glass shower with marble-look walls. An over-toilet shelf with hooks holds towels, and a plant sits on the tank.
