Fresh Modern 3-Bedroom Townhome in Alhambra
A sunny two-story townhome in Alhambra with three bedrooms, a dining table for eight and balcony seating, furnished in white, warm wood and emerald green.
The brief
This is a two-story townhome in Alhambra. The main floor is one open room, with a living area, a dining table and a galley kitchen that opens to a small balcony. There are three bedrooms: one with a single bed, one with two beds side by side, and one with a sliding door to its own balcony. The Cozy Palette furnished the whole home for short stays.
The concept
The townhome gets a lot of sun, so the plan was to keep the walls white and let the light do the work. Warm wood, a brown leather sofa and dark wood floors keep it from feeling cold, and emerald velvet chairs give the living room one strong colour to remember. The table seats eight, so a group can eat together without crowding. The furniture was picked to be easy to live with: a leather sofa that wipes clean, molded dining chairs, and white bedding that is simple to wash and turn over between guests. Each bedroom has its own headboard colour, so the rooms are easy to tell apart.
Room by room
Living room
A brown leather three-seat sofa holds a rust velvet pillow, a cream mudcloth pillow and a white sheepskin. A white oval coffee table on a dark wood tripod base sits on a grey and cream rug, with two ceramic vases on top. A gold side table, a grey knit pouf and a tall ficus fill out the corners. Two framed terracotta prints hang above the sofa, facing a white media console with a few books.
Dining area
A dark wood table is set for eight with white bowls, wine glasses and grey placemats, surrounded by white molded chairs on light wood legs. A sliding glass door with grey linen drapes opens to the balcony. A soft pastel print hangs on the far wall beside a fiddle-leaf fig. By the door, an iron hook rail holds a grey felt hat over a black bench with a mustard pillow.
Navy bedroom
A navy velvet tufted bed is made up in white bedding with grey corduroy and chartreuse pillows, a cream throw and folded towels. Light oak nightstands with tapered legs hold ceramic lamps. A grey sherpa armchair on a wood frame sits in the corner with a knit pouf beside it, and two bright abstract prints frame the window.
Two-bed bedroom
Two grey velvet tufted beds sit side by side in white bedding, with blue and striped pillows, cream throws and folded towels. A walnut and white nightstand between them holds a brass twin lamp. Two geometric prints in navy and coral hang above, and a fiddle-leaf fig stands by the large window.
Balcony bedroom
A grey upholstered bed is dressed in white bedding with striped and brown pillows. Light oak nightstands hold speckled ceramic lamps, and two neutral abstract prints hang above the headboard. A cognac leather sling chair with a grey tasseled pillow sits by the sliding door, framed in grey linen drapes, which opens to a balcony.
Bath
A walk-in shower is lined in white marble-look tile, with a handheld shower and a white curtain. A charcoal shaker vanity with a white top and a square brushed faucet sits under a wide mirror. A framed fern print hangs on the wall above the toilet.
Balcony
The covered balcony off the kitchen has two black sling chairs, one with a teal pillow, and a small round table with potted greenery. Trees shade the view beyond the railing.
