Fresh Contemporary 4-Bedroom Townhome in Covina
A bright four-bedroom townhome in Covina dressed in charcoal, navy and warm accents, with a covered balcony for slow mornings.
The brief
This is a multi-level townhome in Covina. The photos show a living room with a large sectional, an open kitchen with an island, a dining area that opens to a covered balcony, four furnished bedrooms and a primary bath with a soaking tub and separate shower. The Cozy Palette furnished the whole home. Each bedroom has one bed.
The concept
The townhome came with white walls, grey plank floors and dark espresso cabinets, so we kept the base calm and let color do the work. A charcoal sectional and dark wood dining set anchor the main floor, and blue chevron drapes tie the living room windows together. Each bedroom got its own accent, from mustard velvet to navy, coral and a soft blue, so guests can tell the rooms apart at a glance.
We picked furniture for daily use. The sectional fabric and dark wood tables hide wear, the white bedding is easy to wash and swap, and the balcony seating is weather-ready wicker with removable cushions.
Room by room
Kitchen
Espresso shaker cabinets and white-and-grey granite counters run along a grey subway tile backsplash, with a stainless range, microwave and fridge. A long island holds the sink, and pink hydrangeas in a glass vase sit on the counter.
Dining
A dark wood trestle table with six upholstered chairs is set with grey plates, blue bowls and stemware around a red flower centerpiece. A large blue-and-cream abstract canvas and a potted tree fill the wall.
Abstract art bedroom
A charcoal tufted headboard, white bedding and a blue textured throw sit under a blue-and-gold abstract canvas. Black nightstands hold glass lamps, and grey drapes frame two windows.
Navy velvet bedroom
A navy velvet headboard, white bedding and a navy faux-fur throw, with grey and brown pillows and a wood tray holding a cup. Carved walnut nightstands carry amber glass lamps under a blue swirl print.
Coral accent bedroom
A linen headboard and white bedding with a grey runner, orange and raspberry pillows, black nightstands with alabaster lamps and a colorful watercolor print above the bed.
Mustard accent bedroom
A charcoal headboard with grey and mustard velvet pillows, a grey throw, mustard drapes and a black metal side table with a white lamp, under an indigo-and-gold abstract print.
Primary bath
A deep soaking tub set in white subway tile sits beside a glass-enclosed shower, with wood-look tile floors and a framed botanical print.
Balcony
The covered balcony has a slatted rail, a grey wicker loveseat and two chairs with orange and pixel-pattern pillows, and a black glass coffee table with a potted grass.
