Eclectic Boho 1-Bedroom Apartment in Rosemead
An empty one-bedroom apartment in Rosemead, furnished for solo travelers and couples. Calm white and grey basics, layered with colour, texture and plants.
The brief
This one-bedroom, one-bath apartment in Rosemead came to The Cozy Palette as an empty, single-level unit. The brief planned it for solo travelers or couples, sleeping two.
The owner wanted it to feel warm, cozy and eclectic, with a colourful palette that makes a small space feel welcoming.
Before & after
The concept
We started with a calm base: light grey plank floors, white walls and white shaker cabinets. On top of that we layered the eclectic pieces, a multicolour abstract rug, soft blush and sand landscape canvases, rattan sunburst wall pieces and navy velvet in the bedroom. Plants in most rooms keep the whole place soft and lived-in.
Room by room
Living room
A grey sectional with a white sheepskin and striped and patterned pillows faces a round white-top coffee table on a brass base. A multicolour abstract rug, two soft landscape canvases and a slim floor lamp finish the space.
Kitchen
White shaker cabinets and marble-look counters with a full-height backsplash surround a stainless gas range, fridge and double sink. A microwave, toaster and coffee maker sit ready on the counter.
Dining area
A round walnut-tone table with white metal bistro chairs, jute placemats and a two-tier fruit basket sits by the window. Two rattan sunburst pieces hang on the wall above it.
Bedroom
A navy velvet tufted bed with white bedding, a soft grey throw and striped and tan pillows sits under three blue-and-blush wave prints. White side tables with aqua glass lamps, a navy velvet chair, a potted tree and a black-and-white triangle wall hanging by the sliding closet fill out the room.
Bathroom
A white shaker vanity with a quartz top and white framed mirror sits beside a marble-look tiled tub with a sliding glass door. A bamboo shelf holds rolled towels, a plant and a black knot sculpture, with a coral print on the wall.
