Coastal Modern 3-Bedroom Home with Nook in Rosemead
A single-story home in Rosemead with a bright living room, a formal dining room, three bedrooms, a reading nook and two baths, furnished in soft grey, ocean blue and gold.
The brief
This is a single-story home in Rosemead with a large living room, a separate dining room, a kitchen with a garden window, three bedrooms, a small reading nook and two baths. Each bedroom has one bed. The Cozy Palette furnished the whole home for short stays.
The concept
The house has white walls, warm wood-look floors and lots of windows, so we went light and airy with a coastal feel: soft grey upholstery, blue and gold art, and white bedding. Mustard and rust pillows warm it up. Pieces were picked for function, easy cleaning and durability, like a big sectional that seats a group, a dark wood dining table and white bedding with grey throws that wash easily between stays.
Room by room
Living room
A large light-grey sectional with a chaise holds mustard and blue patterned pillows and a white faux-fur throw. A round glass and brass coffee table sits on a blue and rust abstract rug, and two blue and gold canvases hang above. A dark media console holds the TV.
Dining room
A dark wood table is set with white bowls, slate placemats and wine glasses, with grey tufted wingback chairs around it. A woven fiber wall hanging and a pair of black-framed botanical prints hang on the white walls, with a potted tree by the closet.
Kitchen
White cabinets wrap the room with light quartz counters, a white side-by-side fridge and a stainless range. A kettle, water pitcher and coffee maker sit on the counter, and plants and a bowl of oranges fill the garden window.
Wingback bedroom
A grey tufted wingback headboard holds striped and grey pillows on white bedding, with a grey velvet throw and folded towels. Black nightstands carry white ceramic lamps.
Black frame bedroom
A grey tufted headboard sits between black nightstands with green ceramic lamps. A pair of black-framed geometric prints hangs above, and a mirrored sliding closet stands beside the bed.
Rust pillow bedroom
A cream tufted headboard holds rust and cream textured pillows, between walnut nightstands with white lamps. A blue abstract print hangs on the wall beside a white double closet.
Reading nook
A grey leather armchair with a wood frame sits on a cowhide-style rug beside a knit pouf, between two windows, with a framed landscape print above.
Hall bath
A white shaker vanity with a white top stands under a framed mirror, beside a glass tub-shower enclosure in beige stone tile with a diamond border.
Second bath
A double-sink white vanity sits beside a glass shelf niche with a plant, and a glass tub-shower enclosure in beige tile with diamond accents.
