This is a single-story home in Baldwin Park with three bedrooms and two baths, meant for small families or groups. The rooms were empty when The Cozy Palette started.
The owner wanted the whole home furnished with warm, modern styling and curated accents, with an open living and dining space at its center.
Before & after
The concept
The house has light grey plank floors, white walls and white marble-look tile in the kitchen, so we leaned into a soft, airy palette. A blue sectional sets the color for the main room, and pale oak, rattan and walnut keep it from feeling cold.
Mustard, orange and peach show up in the pillows, the art and a velvet accent chair, and plenty of greenery ties the rooms together.

Living room
A blue tufted L-shaped sectional with striped and kilim-pattern pillows faces a walnut media console with rattan doors. A round white-top coffee table on a gold base, two grey woven poufs, three peach, mustard and grey abstract prints, and a palm and rubber plant fill out the room.
Dining & kitchen
A pale oak table with grey upholstered oak-frame chairs sits under a crystal drum chandelier, with a green tray at the center. The open kitchen behind it has grey shaker cabinets, a marble-look backsplash and stainless appliances, and a fiddle-leaf fig stands by the door.
Bedroom
A blue tufted upholstered bed is dressed with orange-and-navy woven pillows and a blue knit throw, with a round white side table and a black ceramic lamp. A mustard velvet accent chair, a macrame wall hanging, a pastel abstract and a potted plant finish the room.
Bathroom
The walk-in shower has white marble-look tile behind a sliding glass door, next to a grey shaker vanity with a quartz top and a blue-grey framed mirror. A three-globe light, a black knot sculpture on a wood tray and a potted plant add finishing touches.
