Classic Glam 3-Bedroom Home in North Hollywood
A modern home in North Hollywood, furnished with a leather chesterfield, gilded accents, a dining table for six and three bedrooms.
The brief
This is a home in North Hollywood with a large living room, an open kitchen with an island and dining table, three bedrooms and two bathrooms we photographed. Each bedroom has one bed. The Cozy Palette furnished the home for short stays.
The concept
The house has grey walls, wide oak floors and a clean modern kitchen, so the living room was where we added character. A brown leather chesterfield, gilded tables and a mustard rug give it a classic, slightly glamorous feel. Leather and glass wipe clean, and solid wood dining chairs and leather barstools stand up to daily use. We chose the furniture for function, easy cleaning and durability.
The bedrooms are calmer, with white bedding and one bold colour each, navy or red, so they feel restful.
Room by room
Living room
A brown leather chesterfield sectional with mustard pillows and a cream fringed throw faces a glass coffee table on a gilded base. A carved red-wood and gold side table sits beside it on a distressed mustard rug. An arc floor lamp, a large wall TV and a gold and black portrait artwork finish the room.
Dining and island
A dark wood dining table for six with leather-seat chairs sits beside a long white quartz waterfall island lined with dark leather barstools. Red tulips sit on the table, and a glass slider opens to the garden.
Kitchen
Grey shaker cabinets sit over white quartz counters and pale green glass subway tile. A stainless farmhouse sink faces the window, with a chimney hood above a six-burner range and a red coffee maker on the counter.
Navy bedroom
A navy velvet bed with a nailhead fret pattern on the headboard is dressed with white faux-fur and cream pillows and a grey knit throw. A blue nightstand with gold pulls sits beside it, with a carved gilt console under the window and a gold birch-tree canvas above.
Mirror bedroom
A white upholstered bed with mint geometric pillows and a red throw sits between white lacquer nightstands with curved lamps. Mirrored closet doors line one wall, with a Paris red-umbrella canvas above the bed.
Arched-window bedroom
A white bed with a red throw faces an arched window with a garden view. A wall TV and a cream and black diamond rug with tassels complete the room.
Shower bath
A walk-in glass shower is lined in white subway tile with a rain head, hand shower and hex mosaic floor. A backlit mirror hangs over a floating wood-grain vanity.
Double-vanity bath
A grey double vanity with a white marble top and chrome faucets sits under a large grey-framed mirror and a crystal bar light, with wood-look tile underfoot.
