Bright Modern 2-Bedroom Apartment in Alhambra

Living room after STR redesign in Alhambra

A two-bedroom Alhambra apartment with an open living, dining and kitchen area and two baths, furnished in white and grey with navy, mustard and brass accents.

The brief

This is a two-bedroom apartment in Alhambra with an open living room, a dining area, a grey shaker kitchen and two bathrooms with walk-in showers. Each bedroom holds one bed. The Cozy Palette furnished the whole apartment for short stays.

The concept

This is one of Tammy's signature homes, a custom design where every room was planned from scratch. White walls and grey plank floors made a clean, bright base, so Tammy layered in soft texture: a sheepskin on the sectional, a knit pouf, a distressed rug and triptychs of soft abstract art in every room. A navy velvet headboard and mustard tufted pillows give one bedroom some depth, while the other stays light with a beige tufted bed. The sectional, molded dining chairs and tile surfaces were chosen for function, easy cleaning and durability.

Room by room

Living roomA light grey tufted sectional with a sheepskin throw and striped and leaf-pattern pillows wraps around a round white coffee table on a brass X base. A navy knit pouf, a distressed beige rug and a white slatted TV console complete the room, with hooks for a hat and basket by the door.
Dining areaA round walnut table on splayed legs is set with grey bowls, woven placemats and wine glasses. Four white molded chairs on wood legs surround it, under a triptych of gold-flecked abstracts beside a faux fiddle-leaf tree.
KitchenGrey shaker cabinets and white quartz counters frame a stainless range, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. A pull-down faucet sits under the window, with a utensil crock and knife block by the stove.
Navy bedroomA navy velvet tufted headboard is dressed with black-and-white cross pillows, mustard tufted lumbar pillows and a grey plush throw. White side tables with tripod lamps sit on each side, under a pair of gold-flecked prints.
Tufted bedroomA beige tufted bed is made up in white with grey fringe and chevron pillows and a grey plush throw. Black tray side tables hold small lamps, and three horizontal-stripe prints hang above. A door opens to a bathroom.
BathroomA walk-in shower in marble-look tile has an octagon mosaic floor and a triple chrome dispenser. A framed abstract print in navy, blush and orange hangs over the toilet, with a snake plant on the tank.
ShowerThe second walk-in shower is lined in large marble-look tile with a clerestory window and a grey-and-white octagon floor.
